Satelliser was a dance for galleries. Dancers subtly altered their spatial configurations in response to the visitors’ movements, playing with the relationship between performance, visitor, and space. Satelliser knowingly references modes of gallery spectatorship, and aims to embody a danced self-reflexivity; as if saying, “Aware of our history- as performers, as dance workers- we know we are dancing for you. Do you know you that you are also dancing for us?”
This event was part of the research needed to develop the work- through the conditions of it’s performance. It is also the first moment of collaboration with Bosse & Baum, and an exciting place to begin a dialogue together.
